By current system, yes they probably could say they got it right. Very subjective but they can argue they did. The issue is how they did it, not one of us would have been complaining if all were treated the same and dropped with the conference championship game loss nor would we have argued if Miami had been ranked ahead of us the last 3 weeks. ND needs to toughen the schedule up a little so we get a little street cred. We don’t get any by playing the cellar of the ACC.

Looks like Yormark is taking Jim Phillips’ side, too.

I agree overall however ND can’t just find teams who are good this year and schedule them next year. It’s a years long process and it’s impossible to predict who’s going to be good and bad. IU was a loser program just 2 years ago and now they are atop the big 10. it sucks that Clemson and FSU have had such a hard fall off and USC doesn’t count as a big win anymore. I’m sure you know all of this I’m just ranting a bit

Maybe Brett could give us his feeling on Alabama going ahead of us after that thrilling last minute victory over 5-7 Auburn, while we were crushing our P4 opponent.

Didn’t Jim Phillips go after Notre Dame first? Pete would have never brought up the ACC or Phillips if it wasn’t for his actions.

You could get a good idea of the strength when you have BC, Pitt, Syracuse, Arkansas, PU. Nd is never going to get credit for beating up on these teams. Zero name recognition and same for beating Navy, even though they are solid every year. Also I could see all of this chaos making it even tougher for ND because teams will be “directed” not to schedule us

If your BYU, you’re cool with your conference commissioner telling you to deal with it? That’s weak. They were screwed too.

Notre Dame are now playing the roles of the bad boys of college football. Next year I say “Let’s put the women and children to bed and go looking for dinner”. 2026 is ass kicking time!!

The way this is going Is these commissioners are just going to blackball ND and not let any schools in their conferences schedule us. ND has no leverage or power over these conferences and we need them way more than they need us. These conferences especially the BIG10 and the SEC along with the TV networks have consolidated complete control over college football and ND is on the outside looking in right now. I’m not sure ND can continue to stay independent in this current landscape now that these conferences and media showed the world they will openly cheat you out of the playoffs while crucifying you in a coordinated attack across every platform.

Did the ACC save ND during Covid? I don't recall this.
