He ain’t wrong. Good way to work the officials before the game, too.

Funnily enough in some of Florida’s games I’ve watched I’ve noticed them start to get called for it some. I’m guessing Oats’ sentiment isn’t exactly unique amongst other coaches lol

He’s been screaming at officials for 3 seconds over the past few games and never got it. Makes sense that he’s trying this method too.

I am completely in favor of the rule (wish it was called more), but it’s also asking so much of officials with the speed of today’s game.

I just wish the refs would just call the rules as they are wrote out. Looking at you traveling

Phil Jackson was notorious for preemptively pointing out opponent’s rules violations prior to big games and playoff series. It forces both the refs and media to pick a side and proactively address the advantage instead of continuing to ignore it. Bama fans have to love the competitive effort Oats has given this season with respect to hard coaching through PCs, challenging calls, asking for reviews, backing Bediako, etc. There is no contentment with making the NCAAT or just being competitive. Coach is trying to win BIG and win NOW. If we can just get him to call a TO the next time our opponent goes on a 13-2 run.

Exactly my thoughts. They are already publicly aware of something that is on film and eerrr’body knows it

Sometimes it’s kinda hilarious. Guys dribble twice getting control of the ball on a rebound or bad pass, pick it up, start dribbling again, pick it up, take 3 steps to establish a pivot foot, then slide it to get a shot off. “HES UNSTOPPABLE!!”

I know. It’s wild. It gets called way more in youth basketball and it’s far less obvious. For them to call it now, a guy has to just take off running like a 3 year old.

He’s probably setting up Alabama to get called for it instead.

Oats was very complimentary of Florida and gave a great response to Todd Golden’s comments last week. Really annoying that this is the quote that is getting plastered everywhere that because people are mad at Oats right now

Friendship should have nothing to do with competing at a high level. Hell, Wimp and Sonny Smith were great friends and they always tried to beat the shit out of each other while talking shit.

There show on the radio together proved that. They really had to get cut off sometimes to keep from telling the wrong story. LOL

Here's the script: Bama wins = "yada yada ask Todd how he feels now yada yada" Florida wins = "yada yada Todd was right. They backed it up yada yada"
