After watching the burger game last night and then more video. I'm not hating the idea of Stokes with the ball in his hands, running the offense through him. If, he commits to UK of course.
That definitely does come with some risk, especially against smaller quicker PGs on defense.

Bro is waiting until July to commit. Good news is, if he doesn't go to UK, the nil budget significantly opens up

He isn’t a PG, but he is more than capable of being a secondary ball handler. His playmaking and vision is pretty damn good.

you can have a traditional PG but run the offense through him. BYU this year with AJD for example

You know, if I was the coach, I'd tell him make up your mind by the end of the week, or we are moving on. UK shouldn't be controlled by any player.

He's going to be a point forward playing a combination Amari Williams-Jaxson Robinson role. A Mark Pope offense operates at peak efficiency when there’s multiple guys who can initiate the offense. My dream scenario has a true high level primary PG who can play off the ball as well (Quinn Ellis?) and a CG who is primarily off the ball but can also be on ball (Dink Pate?) and then also Tyran Stokes.

Not PG1 but he could easily fill the Amare Williams role as SF/PF. I don't see him as a PF though as a lot of people have him listed at. Isn't he only 6'7?

Plenty of people think he will evolve into an oversized PG in the NBA. Lots of analysts are comping him to Cade Cunningham.
Stokes would have to grow and develop into that, but his natural vision is elite.

From the limited clips I have seen of him, he is an Amari Williams on steroids when it comes to overall skill level. Can handle and pass like Amari. He would def be a focal point of the offense next season because Pope isn't going to have anyone else even close to his skill level on the roster.

I think you still need to have multiple ball handlers, and playmakers in the floor, but does is mean you might be able to play someone like Bizjack or Dink at point, maybe.

The offense should go through him, but I don't think he should initiate the offense.
