Slight correction: UCLA’s loss was their second. Why is football the only sport where loss bias rules the polls?

UCLA surrendered 16 runs this week. Texas has surrendered 19 the whole season.

1 or 3, or whatever, it doesn't matter at this point. They keep playing like this, they'll be at the top of the polls soon enough.

Arkansas is the most ridiculous ranking of the top-10. Auburn, Florida, & Georgia are all 3 really good teams and will be a handful outside the obvious LSU & MSU. Glad we don’t play Florida and UGA. I don’t have too many issues with being #3 although I expected Texas to leap LSU as they didn’t look all that great this weekend against bad competition. Texas offensively especially Saturday and Sunday was just ok. Just way too patient at the plate and we’ve got to turn up the aggressiveness! Tinney is in a bad funk too.

UCLA beat three SEC teams this past weekend, let them have the #1. Thought LSU should move down though, they're struggling against inferior competition.

What makes you think wins over Houston Christian and *checks notes* South Carolina Upstate will make us move up if we haven’t already? It also doesn’t really matter right now. And quite frankly, I like where we are. Gives us more of a chip on our shoulders.

I said we are NOT moving anytime soon if we didnt move this week. Not talking about after this week since I know we dont play "tough" competition this week I think texas should have been at least 2 this week though we are undefeated and have good wins while others have Ls.

Agreed…and right now the rankings are almost meaningless

It's silly and embarrassing for anyone to think Kendall is against Texas because he's an Aggie. There's 20 years of evidence to prove that's not true. Be better. Texas has beaten what is in front of them and look awesome. UCLA had a much tougher weekend and put some skins on the wall. Top 3 is fine.

I think the poll is fair. Plenty of time to prove ourselves. Keep stacking wins.

Not concerned with the polls right now. We have a great squad and the only thing that matters is being a top seed to host a super regional.

If the reverse situation happened, they would have dropped Texas.

Could not care any less than I do. This team is capable of finishing alone at the top of the field in Omaha. That's what matters.

Agreed. In watching the team this weekend and over the past few weeks, I've been trying not to think about the fact that I think this might be the best pitching staff I've seen us have ever...and the Baylor coach confirmed my thinking after the Saturday game. Pretty salty when Harrison is probably not long for the weekend rotation....

D1 is very, very hesitant to make major changes off of one-game differences in record early in the season. I thought they might flip flop 1 and 2 but, I mean, No. 3 is still better than 360 other teams.

did anyone get eyes on LSU this weekend? and if so, is there an explanation for them scoring 8 ER over 3 games against Dartmouth and Northeastern?

The top 5 isn't the place to get annoyed about. It's impossible to weigh SOS this early in the season at the very top of the sport and make everyone happy. The real problem is team's like TCU and Coastal still being ranked because of priors.

Ole Miss series will be our first challenge. Next weekend

Who the heck are we playing this weekend? Texas Sports has a generic USC logo - Souther California, South Carolina, other? I have season tickets and can figure it out.
