The latest Heisman Trophy odds were updated ahead of Week 11 of the college football season and it’s a close race between a few quarterbacks.

We have the same favorite, a quarterback from the Pac-12, at the top of the list. But the gap is getting closer. Don’t forget about a certain wide receiver who’s been able to tear it up on the field.

Here’s the latest odds on the top Heisman Trophy candidates, per Bet MGM.

Michael Penix Jr., QB – Washington (+150)

(Jessica Alcheh-USA TODAY Sports)

Penix Jr. didn’t light up the scoreboard in a win over USC, but he did enough in the win. The run game dominated for the Huskies.

Still, Penix Jr.’s line is still very impressive and he’s the slim favorite going into the final stretch. He has 3,201 yards, 26 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 69.4% completion percentage. Pretty much in line with last season.

Bo Nix, QB – Oregon (+200)

(Ben Lonergan/The Register-Guard / USA TODAY NETWORK)

It might be time to put more stock into Nix’s Heisman campaign. Look around the country, it seems like everyone else was on board with that all year.

This guy rarely turns the ball over and can also run when he needs to. This year, Nix has 2,723 yards, 25 touchdowns, two interceptions, a 78.1% completion percentage as well as five rushing touchdowns.

Jayden Daniels, QB – LSU (+300)

(Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports)

Daniels was knocked out of the loss to Alabama, but if he was able to play the whole game, who knows? The problem is, LSU has three losses, which could actually dampen his chances.

But there’s no denying this is the best Daniels has ever played in college. This year, he has 2,792 yards, 27 touchdowns, four interceptions, a 72.1% completion percentage, 684 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.

JJ McCarthy, QB – Michigan (+600)

(Nick King/Lansing State Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK)

There are rumblings the Michigan sign stealing allegations could actually affect McCarthy’s chances. Well, we’ll throw that out the window for right now. McCarthy is having the best season of his career.

Not only is piloting an undefeated squad, the Michigan quarterback has the best numbers of his career and you can see the passing development year to year. This year, he has 2,134 yards, 18 touchdowns, three interceptions, a 75.4% completion percentage and three rushing touchdowns.

Jordan Travis, QB – Florida State (+800)

(Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports)

Oh yeah, let’s not forget about Travis, who has an undefeated squad himself in Florida State. He certainly has the weapons around him at wide receiver and running back to help him out and win a Heisman.

But Travis taking the next step in 2023 has been key for FSU’s contention. This year, Travis has 2,469 yards, 19 touchdowns, two interceptions, a 64.4% completion percentage, 190 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.

Marvin Harrison Jr., WR – Ohio State (+1,000)

(Adam Cairns/Columbus Dispatch / USA TODAY NETWORK)

Here’s the only non-quarterback in terms of the top contenders. Harrison Jr. was limited at Rutgers last week, but made his presence known with two touchdown receptions in the most impressive fashion.

He’s easily the top receiver in college football and should be the first one selected in next year’s draft. This season, Harrison Jr. has 52 receptions, 914 yards, 10 touchdowns and 17.6 yards per catch. He’s on pace to break his numbers from 2022 and squarely in the Heisman race.

Rest of top Heisman contenders ahead of Week 11

Carson Beck, QB – Georgia (+2,000)
Dillon Gabriel, QB – Oklahoma (+2,500)
Brock Bowers, TE – Georgia (+3,000)
Travis Hunter, WR/DB – Colorado (+5,000)
Caleb Williams, QB – USC (+5,000)
Jalen Milroe, QB – Alabama (+6,000)
Quinn Ewers, QB – Texas (+6,600)
Drake Maye, QB – North Carolina (+6,600)

With just three regular season games left, this is the final stretch to make something happen for the top contenders. The ones who have longer odds need, almost, a miracle, but it seems like we’re bound for a quarterback winner once again.
