The latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft from CBS Sports was updated following the underclassmen deadline for college players to declare.

There were some shake ups across the first round of this mock draft. That includes some trades and quarterbacks going pretty early. Buckle up.

Let’s dive into the latest NFL Mock Draft from CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson following the deadline.

1. Washington Commanders – Caleb Williams, QB – USC

In a projected trade, Wilson has Washington getting its quarterback of the future. Williams is widely considered the top quarterback and top prospect in the draft.

Going back home to the DC area is a nice story for Williams, who won a Heisman at USC in 2022. This could be a turning point for Washington.

2. Chicago Bears – Marvin Harrison Jr., WR – Ohio State

So with that trade, that means the Bears will now get weapons for Justin Fields right? Right. Enter Harrison Jr.

A fellow Ohio State product, Harrison Jr. can make an instant impact and Fields’ improvements at the end of the year could carry over into 2024. This is the logical choice for the Bears.

3. New England Patriots – Drake Maye, QB – North Carolina

The Patriots need a new franchise quarterback under their new head coach Jarod Mayo. Maye seems to fit that bill as he has all the tools.

The UNC star has a cannon for an arm, has prototypical size and probably gives New England the boost it needs at the position. Enter a new era in the Patriot way.

4. Arizona Cardinals – Olu Fashanu, OT – Penn State

The Cardinals need protection for Kyler Murray and there is no better person than Fashanu. Although the next player on this list might have something to say.

Still, if the Cardinals are reenergized by Murray’s return, they need to make sure he’s healthy moving forward. Fashanu can plug in right away.

5. Los Angeles Chargers – Joe Alt, OT – Notre Dame

Just like Murray, the Chargers need to protect Justin Herbert and Alt is the next man up. Like Fashanu, Alt is an immediate plug and play in LA.

As far as who will be the head coach, it could be Jim Harbaugh. Regardless of who it is, the Chargers need to bolster the unit up front for 2024.

6. New York Giants – Jayden Daniels, QB – LSU

The Giants need to reset going into 2024 after the mess of their quarterback position this past season. Daniels is the guy to resurrect their hopes.

Daniels won the Heisman Trophy in his final season at LSU this fall. And boy, his dual threat ability could unlock new dimensions in the Giants offense.

7. Tennessee Titans – JC Latham, OT – Alabama

The Titans, regardless of who’s at quarterback next year, need a stalwart at tackle. Latham is that type of guy to protect, we think, Will Levis.

However, there are a lot of questions for the Titans after the firing of head coach Mike Vrabel. Perhaps the new head coach could determine what direction they go in during April.

8. Atlanta Falcons – Michael Penix Jr., QB – Washington

The Falcons don’t have a new head coach yet, but they interviewed Bill Belichick. Is this the type of pick for the veteran coach? Maybe.

For a coach that might have three-plus years left, a pick like Penix Jr. could rejuvenate him down south. At this point, Atlanta was probably a quarterback away from running away with the NFC South.

9. Chicago Bears – Dallas Turner, EDGE – Alabama

The Bears get another pick! First, Chicago went with offense and now it’s time to go defense with one of the best pass rushers in college football.

Turner was a menace at Alabama and you can pair him with Montez Sweat in 2024. That’s pretty sweet and the Bears are suddenly a fascinating team next fall.

10. New York Jets – Malik Nabers, WR – LSU

Why not add to the weapons to support Aaron Rodgers’ return next year? The Jets need an offensive lineman more, but this mock draft has the best guys off the board at this point.

This is the next best option as Nabers pairs alongside Garrett Wilson. That will be a dynamic duo for Rodgers next fall.
