TBT: 2026 LB & Army commit Malcolm Roberts recaps West Point Visit

Back in February when linebacker Malcolm Robertson said yes to the Army Black Knights, HC Jeff Monken and his staff had pulled in their first commitment of the 2026 recruiting class.
Fast forward to last Friday and the 6-foot-2, 212 pounder out of Dexter Southfield School in Brookline (MA) was back on the historic grounds of West Point for his unofficial visit and Army’s first game of the season versus Tarleton State.
“We arrived at 4:30pm and watched a hype video for the game and then took a tour of the football facility,” shared Robertson.
“I love going to the games and being on campus. The energy of the corp and crowd is electric.”
Game Day Observation
“I didn’t have a chance to talk to other recruits,” the linebacker explained to GoBlackKnights.com.
“I brought my younger brother with me and wanted him to get the whole experience of an Army football game. However, I was able to talk to a friend of mine who is a freshman on the team. It was great to reconnect with him after I haven’t had much opportunity to talk to him because of his summer training and the start of the season.
“With regards to the game, I thought the teams were evenly matched and I think Tarleton State already having a game under their belt was a big advantage,” added Robertson. “Ultimately the game came down to a handful of plays. I have full confidence the coaches and players will get it all figured and be ready to roll Kansas State this weekend.”
