The Bulldogs kept the bulk built up in the trenches with their latest addition, as Georgia has announced the official signing of four-star offensive tackle Nyier Daniels to the Class of 2024.

Ticking the tape at almost 6-foot-8 and 370 plus pounds, Daniels ranks as the nation’s No. 212 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 per the On3 Industry Ranking. He also registers as the nation’s No. 18 offensive tackle and No. 2 prospect in New Jersey for the class by the same measure.

Daniels committed to the Bulldogs in early July of this year, choosing the team in Athens over the likes of Texas, Florida State, Rutgers, and Penn State.

“What makes Georgia is the people,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons at that time. “Their mindset, their development, it is different. It was a no-brainer for me to go to Georgia. “[On my official visit] they showed me the plan as soon as I get there, from freshman year to sophomore year and so on. They kept showing me the plan and how I would develop there.”

There were concerns about his status once news of Fran Brown’s departure for Syracuse broke, but Daniels remained steadfast in his pledge to the Bulldogs despite the loss.

Nyier Daniels hails from Oradell, New Jersery’s Bergen Catholic High School.

Scouting Report on Nyier Daniels

“Behemoth offensive tackle prospect with intriguing upside due to his massive frame and above average movement skills. One of the biggest prospects in the 2024 cycle. Measured at around 6-foot-8 370 pounds prior to his senior season. Has elite length and a very large frame with arms that measure around around 36 inches and hands that exceed 11 inches. Has continued adding weight heading into his senior season. Primarily lines up at left tackle for New Jersey powerhouse Bergen Catholic. A bully in the run game. Mows opposing defensive linemen as a drive blocker. Has rare body quickness for a lineman of his size. Shows fluidity in his movements and very good ankle flexion for such a big lineman. Further along as a pass blocker at this stage. Has a tendency to bend at the waist and lunge in pass protection. Has a tendency to play high and will need to work on his pad level. Does not register as a top athlete in the limited athletic testing data available. Will likely need time to reshape his body once in a college strength program. Younger for the cycle, turning 18 years-old weeks before his first college game.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings, on Nyier Daniels
