Georgia has found its man under center for the Class of 2024, as three-star quarterback Ryan Puglisi announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Sunday.

From Connecticut’s Avon Old Farms School, Puglisi becomes Georgia’s fifth commitment of the cycle, joining four-star wide receivers Sacovie White and Ny Carr, four-star tight end Landen Thomas, and four-star running back Tovani Mizell.

Currently, the Bulldogs hold the top-ranked class in the 2024 cycle.

Puglisi added an offer from the Bulldogs over the summer, on the heels of an impressive camp performance.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound junior chose Georgia over the likes of Alabama, Ole Miss, West Virginia, and Michigan State.

His relationship with the Bulldogs was a major key in the decision.

“I talk to all those guys a ton, probably at least three, four times a week,” Puglisi recently told On3’s Chad Simmons. “So I think the communication ever since Sept. 1 has been tremendous. Really excited about that one.”

And he’s been prepared to get his commitment done for some time now.

“I know it sounds cliché, but when you know, you know,” Puglisi told Simmons in early October. “…I think being surrounded by good people, obviously an explosive team where I’m gonna get developed (are) definitely some things that are gonna be weighing in on my commitment. Those few things are something that’s big. It’s gonna help me make my decision.”

Much credit is due to Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken for a strong evaluation and heavy pouring in to reel in a guy who should see a climb in the rankings soon.

Currently, Puglisi is ranked No. 357 overall in the 2024 On3 Consensus, in addition to being the nation’s No. 27 overall quarterback and No. 4 prospect in the state of Connecticut.

Scouting Report on Ryan Puglisi

Ryan Puglisi was under distress all evening against The Loomis Chaffee School. Their defensive line was in his face, chasing him out of the pocket, and in the passing lanes often. Puglisi still impressed. He has a live arm and he made some impressive throws. Puglisi showed touch, the ability to throw under stress, and he made throws from different arm angles. He showed great toughness. He made some plays with his legs and took many big shots.” – Chad Simmons, On3 Director of Recruiting
