Georgia WR commit Sacovie White BALLIN' OUT to start senior year | Georgia Bulldogs football

Georgia football has a type. That was one of my major takeaways leaving Cedartown vs Cass on Thursday night.

Two Georgia commits wide receiver Sacovie White and 2025 four-star cornerback Tae Harris led their teams in one final tune-up before the regular season starts next week. The two teams scrimmaged on Thursday. White played roughly 15 offensive plays and a handful of defensive plays.

Harris played nearly two full quarters before giving way to back-ups and freshmen teams. It didn’t take long to learn about what both future Bulldogs stand for.

White is and has always been a playmaker. Harris walks with toughness, a controlled chippiness and a swagger that is usually described as a ‘dog’ mentality. Harris is a giant. But, he is strong and he is a more than willing tackler. Harris has a 400-plus pound squat already.

“I like to hit people,” Harris told me prior to the game.

White has made a reputation for snatching one-handed catches and leaping above taller defenders in traffic.

They both showcased who they were. Harris made his presence known with a physical tackle on the first drive.

Following the play, Harris let the world know that he was in the stadium to play. He then begun his battle with White.

On the next drive, Harris went to block White, who was playing safety. The two met face-to-face and shared some words before needing to be separated.

A few plays later, they were in one another’s faces again. This time Harris showed White a flexed bicep and walked away.

White’s response came a few drives later.

Two future Bulldogs, two different but aggressive and bold approaches. If you subscribe to the iron-sharpening iron way of thinking, a budding rivalry could be brewing with White and Harris as they reach Athens. At the same time, it could simply be that their competitive make-ups are what made them Georgia commits in the first place.

It could be a glimpse of why Georgia’s culture and practices breed competition and forces growth and development.

2026 QB Brodie McWhorter continues to grow

Georgia has extended four offers to quarterbacks in the class of 2026. McWhorter isn’t among them yet. He did camp at Georgia this summer.

McWhorter looked like a quarterback set for the next step in the 2023 season. McWhorter threw one touchdown and an interception, which Harris coincidently returned for a touchdown.

The 6-foot-1,190-pound quarterback has a strong, twitchy arm with the ability to move around and throw on the run. He has control of the Cass offense after a full offseason as the starter.

McWhorter is a name to file away for later.
