Iowa defensive backs looking for some dough
Thanks to the multiple turnovers via interceptions and forced fumbles that they would produce on a regular basis, Iowa’s defensive backs gave themselves the nickname of the “Doughboys”. Three weeks in the 2025 Iowa football season, the Hawkeyes secondary has recorded zero turnovers. This week Iowa linebacker coach playfully suggested that they might have to change their handle to the “No Boys” due to the lack of turnover production.
On Tuesday, Zach Lutmer and TJ Hall spoke to the media about the lack of turnovers and more importantly slowing down and attempting to stop a very talented group of wide receivers on the Rutgers squad.
