1. KANSAS STATE FORWARD TARGET OLIVIER NKAMHOUA, TENNESSEE

Jerome Tang and Kansas State have been quiet since landing North Texas transfer guard Tylor Perry. But they bounced back into the light when they hosted Tennessee transfer Olivier Nkamhoua over the holiday weekend.

Are they contenders? Optimism is present in Manhattan, but they followed his visit to West Virginia, he is currently on his trip to Baylor and Nkamhoua will also see Michigan. His recruitment will be a sprint, as he wants to make a decision soon after his stop in Ann Arbor.

2. FORWARD JULIAN PHILLIPS, TENNESSEE

Many thought he was a lock to remain in the NBA Draft at one point. Many thought he was destined for the SEC. Neither seems as certain. Does that create an opening for Kansas State to hop into the picture with Julian Phillips? They were once a threat when he was a high school recruit.

All of Texas, Memphis, West Virginia, Kentucky and Auburn are thought to be in the conversation, along with K-State.

3. GRADUATE TRANSFER GUARD

Because of the lack of names that have been connected to Kansas State, it is fair to wonder where their remaining additions will come from at this point. But talent will still enter the transfer portal as graduate transfers, and that is likely what they secure at the guard spot.

It’s not impossible to still land a talented player that has yet to enter the portal.

4. GRADAUATE TRANSFER WING

Rinse and repeat what was written above. There have been names that have yet to announce that they will be returning to school that have asked around about K-State.

5. FORWARD MALCOLM DANDRIDGE, MEMPHIS

Though KSO hasn’t had much information on it, reports continue to share that Kansas State is plenty involved with Memphis transfer Malcolm Dandridge? Are we to believe that is genuine? That is uncertain, but they have consistently been mentioned as a contender by him.

That makes him a bit more viable than the other three names on the list, but I would hold off on any assumptions until he has a visit scheduled for Manhattan.

4. GUARD ZYON PULLIN, UC-RIVERSIDE

Not a single report has linked K-State to popular guard target Zyon Pullin, but to be fair, not a lot of information in general has been available on him. What we do know is that we were told to expect the Wildcats to give it a try.

5. K-STATE GUARD TARGET RAYJ DENNIS, TOLEDO

After being squarely in the discussion, Kansas State is on the outside looking in for Rayj Dennis unless something drastically changes.

6. CENTER ERNEST UDEH, KANSAS

Like with Dennis, K-State was in the race for Ernest Udeh at one point, but that changed after a visit to Duke. Though the Blue Devils are not likely an option for him, he won’t be headed to Manhattan, either.
