The initial Availability Report ahead of Saturday’s showdown between Kentucky and No. 17 Tennessee was not kind to the Wildcats, but Thursday’s report did bring a bit of good news.

Each Wednesday of SEC contests, both schools will share an availability report. It will be updated nightly, with one final ruling an hour before kickoff on Saturdays. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play).

While eight Kentucky players were listed as out going into this weekend’s game, two key offensive pieces were removed from the report altogether. Kickoff against the Volunteers on Saturday is set for 7:45 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.

Kentucky’s Availability Report

OUT

  • WR Troy Stellato
  • CB DJ Waller Jr.
  • RB Jamarion Wilcox
  • OLB Jacob Smith
  • LB Devin Smith
  • DL Nic Smith
  • WR David Washington Jr.
  • TE Elijah Brown

QUESTIONABLE

  • RB Seth McGowan
  • WR Fred Farrier II
  • OL Aba Selm

PROBABLE

  • DL Kahlil Saunders

There were a few changes for Kentucky in Thursday night’s report. Most notably, DJ Waller Jr., who was listed as doubtful on Wednesday, has been officially downgraded to out. Waller was set to play last Saturday before suffering an injury setback right before kickoff. He has not played since Week 1.

As for some good news, starting tight ends Willie Rodriguez and Josh Kattus were removed from the report after being listed as probable on Wednesday, meaning they’ll be good to suit up against Tennessee. Starting running back Seth McGowan remains questionable.

Tennessee’s Availability Report

OUT

  • DB Rickey Gibson III
  • WR Travis Smith Jr.
  • DB Jermod McCoy

QUESTIONABLE

  • TE Ethan Davis
  • WR Radarious Jackson
  • LB Arion Carter
  • LB Ben Bolton

There were no changes for Tennessee in Thursday’s update. The Vols, already dealing with pass defense issues, will be without both of their starting cornerbacks again on Saturday. Linebacker Arion Carter, who remains questionable, leads the team in tackles.
