Benny Snell was a beast

by: Mrs. Tyler Thompson10/29/17@MrsTylerKSR

It didn’t start off well, but Benny Snell turned in his most important performance as a Wildcat tonight.

After fumbling the ball on the first play, Snell bounced back and had his best game of the season, rushing for 180 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries. When the offense faltered in the fourth quarter, Benny took over on the final drive, marching the ball down the field to set Kentucky up for Stephen Johnson’s 11-yard scramble for the game-winning score. Simply put, Benny was a beast.

Coming in, Benny only had three 100+ yard games this season. Tonight’s performance wasn’t a career-high (last year, he had 192 yards vs. Missouri and four touchdowns vs. New Mexico State), but it may be the most significant. Thanks to Benny and Stephen Johnson, Kentucky avoided a disastrous loss and is bowl eligible for the second straight season.
