Joker: Bookie Cobbins is "A Work in Progress"
— It doesn’t appear that The Legend of Cobbins will begin the next chapter on Saturday, at least not at quarterback.
— The Herald- Leader Trilogy tweeted that after today’s practice, Joker Phillips said that Morgan Newton received first team quarterback reps and called Bookie Cobbins a “work in progress.” Also reported is that Cobbins stayed after practice to improve his route running with UK GA Glenn Holt.
— In other news, an Iowa businessman was named a finalist for the “Billy Gillispie Managerial Tactician of the Year” for his workplace game, “Guess the Next Employee to be Fired.” The premise of the game is to accurately pick the next team member to be terminated for cash prizes, or in Billy’s words, “Cutting Walk-Ons.”
