Kendrick Law receives invite to Shrine Bowl
Draft season is just about ready to get rolling. Before you know it, we will be hearing about Mel Kiper Jr.’s pumpkin pie obsession. There is still a college football postseason to be played but draft prep has already started. Another Kentucky player will be headed to a showcase event.
Wide receiver Kendrick Law is headed to the East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas. He will join Kentucky center Jager Burton at the event.
The East-West Shrine Bowl is the oldest college football all-star game where top draft prospects participate in a week of practice in front of NFL scouts ahead of the draft. This event has been running since 1925 and has helped numerous prospects bolster their draft status. Kendrick Law will be looking to secure a draft pick next month at The Star.
The Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve product was a top-100 recruit in the 2022 cycle who signed with Alabama. Law spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide playing for Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer. The receiver carved out a role as a valuable blocker but never was featured in Alabama’s offense. That opportunity arrived at Kentucky in the receiver’s senior season.

Kendrick Law led UK’s offense in targets (64), receptions (53), and receiving yards (540). Law produced 593 yards from scrimmage and also provided value as a punt returner and kick returner. Route-running will need continued improvement heading to the next level, but Law was able to consistently create after the catch for Kentucky.
One of many transfer additions for Kentucky last offseason, Kendrick Law became a starter in his only season in Lexington and had a productive season for the Wildcats. The wideout will now look to continue his career at the next level. That journey will begin in the Lonestar State at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
