Moments ago Kentucky Football released this week’s pregame hype video and it. is. electric.

Only a minute long, the video replays so many of the great memories the South Carolina series has given Kentucky during the Mark Stoops era, beginning with Bud Dupree’s game-winning pick-6 and the birth of “Grove St. Party” from the first win in 2014. From there you will see more fun things like Stephen Johnson showing his tongue in Columbia in 2017 and Chris Rodriguez’s 79-yard touchdown run on the first play of a drive in 2020.

Oh, we see Stephen Garcia get hit, too.

But nothing beats the very end of the video when the chrome Wildcat is revealed, teasing the chrome helmets Kentucky will wear against the Gamecocks tomorrow night. Those chrome domes are a perfect 3-0 in the series and looking to stay unbeaten against South Carolina.

Now get hype.

Also of note: Tom Hart in the beginning is a nice touch. Big Blue Nation’s favorite play-by-play man will call his first Kentucky game of the season Saturday night in Lexington… 7:30 PM on SEC Network.

Go Cats.
