Kentucky landed one grad transfer yesterday in former Creighton guard Davion Mintz. How are their chances looking with Purdue big man Matt Haarms? The 7’3″ center narrowed his list to ten this morning, and the Cats made the cut, along with Arizona, Arkansas, Boston College, BYU, Gonzaga, Memphis, Minnesota, Texas Tech, and UNC Greensboro.

“Just going to take some time first and then think about how I’m going to handle this going forward,” Haarms told Evan Daniels. “Not going to drag it out though.”

Last season, Haarms averaged 8.6 points off 52.4% shooting, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game, and the year before, 9.4 points and 5.4 boards per game. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, he can’t visit the colleges he’s interested in right now, but told Daniels he’s been in contact with each coach over the phone and many of them are planning to take him on a “virtual tour” of their campuses.
