Kentucky opens as 16-point favorite vs. Vanderbilt on Wednesday

Kentucky will host the Vanderbilt Commodores as a significant favorite Wednesday evening.

With opening lines starting to roll out for tomorrow’s matchups, the Wildcats are 16-point favorites by Vegas Insider and DraftKings. VegasInsider Consensus gives UK an extra half-point at -16.5.

The over/under has also been set at 139 by Vegas Insider and DraftKings, while VegasInsider Consensus lists the total at 140.

The Wildcats are 10-11-0 against the spread this season while the Commodores are 9-11-0.

TeamRankings.com, a system that generates predictions using objective mathematical models, projects Kentucky to come out on top by an average score of 77.3 to 61.1. The ESPN Basketball Power Index gives UK a 95.3 percent chance to win.

Kentucky will take on Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The game will be broadcast live on SEC Network, with Mike Morgan (play-by-play) and Jon Sundvold (analyst) on the call.
