Being able to throw the deep ball vs. ISU?
“Schematically, they cause a lot of problems. They are very great at what they do. In a game like this, you’ve gotta make competitive plays and you’ve gotta take those shots when you get your opportunities. I’m glad we did and I’m glad we took advantage of those shots and then made plays down in the red zone.”
WR Jayden Gibson
Where has your game grown?
“I feel like my game has grown plenty of ways — physicality, hands, just smarts of the game, confidence. I feel like there were a lot of mountains I had to overcome to get to this point, you know what I’m sayin’? I feel like this is really just the valley. I ain’t even reached the peak yet. I’ve still got to get better. I couldn’t even tell you what things I got better at, all I know is I got more confident, I worked on my hands like crazy, I worked on my breaks like crazy, I worked on my releases like crazy. And this is all behind closed doors.”
WR Brenen Thompson
Recovering from your injury?
“I had an ankle injury early in the season. That happened, sadly, but you know, I trusted God. I trust his process and trusted the trainers, trusted my coaches. When the time was right, I knew I was going to make that play.”
LB Danny Stutsman
No trophies for being 5-0?
“Absolutely. We said after week one, after a big win like that, let’s keep winning games. The next trophy is actually next week. Excited to get that Hat back in the locker room. I’m really excited for the guys. Just gotta keep doing what we do. The standard doesn’t change no matter who we’re playing.”

Figuring out the in-game adjustments?
“It’s confidence and preparation — preparation all the way back from last season ended. I feel like we are closer as a team. We know each others’ jobs and we know what we’re capable of. If we know what we’re capable of, all we gotta do is go out there and do it and not make it harder than it is.”
