Wide receiver Gage Larvadain is the latest prospect to commit to South Carolina out of the transfer portal.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder led Miami (Ohio) in nearly every receiving statistic last season. In 10 games during his 2023 campaign, Larvadain finished with 42 receptions for 679 yards and six touchdowns. He also returned five punts for 55 yards for the Redhawks.

Larvadain made an official visit to Columbia from Thursday until Friday and was recruited by receivers coach Justin Stepp.

Larvadain is considered a four-star prospect and the No. 8 WR in the portal, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average of the major recruiting media sites.

The Donaldsonville (Louisiana) native joined Miami (Ohio) after spending his freshman season at Southeastern Louisiana.

During his time at that program, he was named 2021 Southland Conference freshman of the year. He was also named first-team all-conference as a kick returner.

Larvadain will be joining the wide receiver room alongside Louisville transfer Ahmari Huggins-Bruce, who announced his commitment Thursday, and Coastal Carolina transfer Jared Brown.
