Two days after landing two four-star commitments, South Carolina has landed four-star linebacker Jaden Robinson.

A product of Lake City, Fla., Robinson is a consensus four-star. He is rated as the 35th top linebacker in the nation for the class of 2023.

Standing at 6-1, 212 pounds, Robinson chooses the Gamecocks over a long list of Power 5 schools including Tennessee, Kentucky, and Louisville.

The Gamecocks coaching staff have shown a tremendous commitment to the state of Florida. Of South Carolina’s 13 commitments who’ve gone public, five of them are from the state of Florida.

One thing that is worth mentioning is that on Sunday, the Florida native received an offer from the University of Florida. Perhaps just a coincidence with the timing, but maybe not. Expect the Gators to do what they can to flip him before national signing day in December.

As far as the Gamecocks are concerned, they’ll continue to show Robinson love. USC was one of the first schools to make an offer to him and that was back in March of 2021. That loyalty certainly played a role in getting linebacker to commit to the Gamecocks today.

Three’s Company

Robinson is the third four-star to commit to South Carolina since Saturday. He joins running back Dontavius Braswell and class of 2024 quarterback Dante Reno who both committed to the Gamecocks over the weekend.

Braswell is currently South Carolina’s second highest recruit. Only Grayson ‘Pup’ Howard has a higher grade than him by both the consensus and On3 ratings. Rushing for just shy of 1100 yards on 80 carries as a junior, he is a Georgia 2A state champion in track in the 100 and 200 meters.

Reno is rated as the 17th top QB for the class of 2024 by the consensus rankings. He’s the Gamecocks first commitment for the class of 2024. As a sophomore, he threw for over 2,500 yards with a 66 percent completion percentage and complied 27 total touchdowns.
