Garner and his reputation for getting the most out of his players legendary as he routinely puts players in the NFL. He and Norman-Lott jived and that made the decision easy.
“It was definitely a pleasant feeling know he was true in what he said,” Norman-Lott said. “That in itself put him higher on the board with where I was when I entered again.
“When I asked for an answer he is going to tell me the truth. He isn’t going to shuffle stuff around. He is going to give me the straight shot truth. Banks, the straight shot truth and coach Heupel the same thing. Just good genuine people.”
Norman-Lott has 45 tackles and four sacks in his time at Arizona State. He has three years to play two.
“I think my ability to rush the passer, making the quarterback uncomfortable and my quick twitch movement,” Norman-Lott said about what he brings to the table. “Coach Garner has already bred a great D-Line room. I’m going to just a an attribute to help what is already great.”
He models his game after Geno Atkins and Aaron Donald in terms of staying low and staying active. Norman-Lott will begin school on January 23rd and he can’t wait to get started.
