Longhorns in the NFL: 2023 Preseason Highlights and Updates

There are 41 former Texas players on NFL rosters through the first three weeks of the 2023 preseason, with a handful of those making big plays and continued strong showings for their teams in advance of the regular season kicking off on Sept. 7.

Below are a listing of the players listed alphabetically by teams, with some highlights of performances and updates from the just concluded second week of preseason:

Arizona

Colt McCoy, QB

McCoy got the starting nod against Kansas City in week 2 and finished 5-of-8 passing for 25 yards and added six yards on one carry. Here’s some highlights from week 1:

Geoff Swaim, TE

Swaim, who signed with the Cardinal this summer, catches a pass from Colt:

Atlanta

Ta’Quon Graham, DT

Bijan Robinson, RB

In his highly anticipated debut, Robinson – the eighth overall pick in the 2023 draft and the highest-paid running back in the league – had four carries for 20 yards and a 6-yard reception, doing it all in one drive.

Devin Duvernay, WR

Duvernay has been getting some notoriety for standing up for a teammate in a practice skirmish with the Commanders last week –

Ojomo has been flexingg his talent in the preseason but had a scare on Thursday when he was carted off the field with what was thought to be a neck injury. The Eagles later updated the diagnosis to a concussion:
