Texas Longhorns commits schedules: Week 1
The high school season for the Texas Longhorns’ commits in the 2024 and 2025 classes gets fully underway beginning Thursday.

Week one in the state of Texas includes all nine in-state commitments on fields across the state. All told, 15 of the 16 Texas commitments in the 2024 class will be playing this weekend.
And 2025 4-star quarterback commitment K.J. Lacey will play his season opener on the ESPN family of networks Friday night.

Daniel Cruz, IOL, North Richland Hills (Texas) Richland #AllGasNoBrakes
Richland High will travel to Mansfield to take on Legacy High on Thursday, August 24 at 7 p.m. Cruz was the district Newcomer of the Year as a freshman, and has been a first-team all-district selection each of the last two years. Legacy High features Oklahoma State commit and one-time Texas safety target Landyn Cleveland.
Aeryn Hampton, WR/ATH, Daingerfield (Texas) High #AllGasNoBrakes
Dangerfield High plays host to Gladewater High on Thursday, August 24 at 7 p.m. in the season opener. Hampton was named the 10-3A Utility Player of the Year as a sophomore, and backed it up by being named the 11-3A Co-MVP in 2022.
D’antre Robinson, DL, Orlando (Fla.) Jones #AllGasNoBrakes
Jones High plays host to a talented Cocoa High team on Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m. Eastern. D’Antre Robinson and Jones High won a kickoff classic game 38-18 over Tampa Jesuit last week.
K.J. Lacey, QB, Saraland (Ala.) High – 2025 #AllGasNoBrakes
Saraland High plays host to Lipscomb Academy (0-1) at 7 p.m. Friday, August 25 in a game televised on the ESPN family of networks. Lacey, 5-star receiver and Alabama commit Ryan Williams and 2025 4-star DL Antonio Coleman headline the Saraland High squad.
Nate Kibble, IOL, Humble (Texas) Atascocita #AllGasNoBrakes
Atascocita High travels south to take on Dickinson High Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m. Nate Kibble and 2025 running back Tory Blaylock headline a talented Atascocita High squad. Dickinson is headlined by Texas 2025 offensive tackle offer Tyler Thomas.
Trey Owens, QB, Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair #AllGasNoBrakes
Cy-Fair High begins the season on Friday, August 25 at 7:30 p.m. against Bridgeland High. Owens and Texas 2025 target Landon Rink headline the Bobcats squad, while Texas 2025 OT offer Jonte Newman is a name to know for the Bears.
Colin Simmons and Alex January, Duncanville (Texas) #AllGasNoBrakes
Duncanville High will take on Dallas South Oak Cliff on Friday, August 25 at 7:30 p.m. at SMU. The Panthers are headlined by Texas 5-star EDGE commit Colin Simmons and On3 4-star defensive lineman Alex January. Texas targets Dakorien Moore (LSU verbal) and DB Javion Holiday headline the 2025 prospects, along with 4-star quarterback Keelon Russell.
Freddie Dubose Jr., WR, Schertz (Texas) Smithson Valley #AllGasNoBrakes
Smithson Valley High plays host to San Antonio Reagan to kickoff the 2023 season on Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m. Texas 4-star wide receiver commit Freddie Dubose Jr. made his return to the field in a scrimmage last week after missing his junior season with a knee injury.
Jordan Washington, TE, Houston (Texas) Langham Creek #AllGasNoBrakes
Langham Creek High travels to Tomball to take on Memorial High on Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m. Washington was named 16-6A first-team all-district as a junior.
Christian Clark, RB, Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe #AllGasNoBrakes
Mountain Pointe hits the road on Friday, August 25 for a 7 p.m. Pacific time contest at Valley Vista High. Clark rushed for 737 yards and 11 TD’s, caught 37 passes for 368 yards and 5 TD’s, and tallied 25 tackles and an interception on defense as a junior.
Santana Wilson, CB/N, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain #AllGasNoBrakes
Desert Mountain High travels to take on Verrado High Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m. Pacific time. Wilson posted 49 tackles and four interceptions as a junior. He has totaled 91 tackles and six interceptions in the last two seasons.
Jerrick Gibson and Jordon Johnson-Rubell, IMG Academy #AllGasNoBrakes
IMG Academy (1-0) will be back on the field Saturday, August 26. The Ascenders will take on St. Joe’s High in Philadelphia. Texas running back commitment Jerrick Gibson rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries in the win over Lipscomb Academy last Friday.
Michael Kern, P, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas #AllGasNoBrakes
St. Thomas Aquinas (0-0) will play host to nationally ranked St. John Bosco (1-0) Saturday, August 26 at 4 p.m. Eastern.
Parker Livingstone, WR, Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy #AllGasNoBrakes
Lovejoy High plays host to College Station High Saturday, August 26 at 7:30 pm at Eagle Stadium. Livingston hauled in 52 passes for 908 yards and 12 TD’s as a junior.
Melvin Hills, DL, Lafayette (La.) Lafayette Christian Academy #AllGasNoBrakes
Lafayette Christian Academy begins the regular season September 1 against Acadiana High. Hills and LSU commitment Ju’Juan Johnson take on 5-star Dominick McKinley, who will announce his commitment out of Texas A&M, Texas, LSU, Oklahoma and Ohio State prior to the game.
