"This case is about far more than one terrifying incident," the statement read from Andrew M. Stroth and Steven A. Hart, two Chicago-based lawyers. "It raises urgent and troubling questions about how a powerful figure within a major university athletic program was able to engage in years of inappropriate conduct toward a subordinate without meaningful intervention or oversight.
"Our client believes strongly that she may not be the only person who experienced inappropriate, coercive, or predatory behavior from this individual."

This is a situation in which it is both good and bad to have very deep pockets. On the one hand, nobody is suing a community college in the same situation (most likely) as you can’t squeeze water from a rock. Michigan having the second largest public endowment in the country, and a top 5 funded athletic department, doesn’t hurt the argument to sue. No, I am not saying she doesn’t have a legitimate claim, I have absolutely no idea, I’m just saying being the Michigan athletic department is a place of somewhat vulnerability in that people know you have the money, and often paying out to avoid further embarrassment (discovery here could be a total bloodbath, imagine the sort of texts Moore and latroy traded, for instance) is the prudent move.
My guess is this is settled quickly.

andrewhfine said:Right? I mean, Sherrone broke university rules, and it's hard to believe someone (and particularly Warde) didn't know anything about it. So in that sense policies were not followed. But I'm having trouble seeing her as a victim (other than on the day in question when he lost his mind). She was an adult and carried on a consensual relationship with a married man, and even befriended his wife. Sherrone's conduct was worthy of termination to be sure. Paige's conduct is also nothing to write home about. If she had gone to the school for help and they turned her away, it would be different. But there's no evidence she was being coerced or pressured into having a relationship with Sherrone, and indeed she lied when she was questioned about it.I'll take "things you might say if you want to be able to sue the deepest pockets available" for $500 Alex. Of course she is claiming this. And she'll likely get a check out of this.

Didn’t this lady help sit Sherrone Moore-booty’s wife and kids at home games? She was part of the booty family, if you will. I guess Michigan will eat another of Warde’s missed activities.

Can we please get rid of Warde....Whether she bears some blame or not, I mean what the heck keeps that guy employed. I know I am also beating a dead horse here, but having served in multiple legal departments within companies, there is not one executive I have ever worked with that would have been employed past the first few incidents, if for no other reason than financial exposure to the company for keeping them on board.

I also have a hard time seeing her as a victim aside from the day Moore went crazy. At no point did she go to Warde or any superior saying she was being SA’d or pressured into maintaining a sexual relationship with Sherrone. Never indicated to anyone she was in fear of losing her job. In fact, she got a significant pay bump a year or two ago….
Moore is an idiot and the university and Warde should be held accountable. However, she had every opportunity to speak up and chose not to because *it seems* she was having her cake and eating it too

Well, Harbs is gone bet he recommended Moore to replace him. So......either Warde knew and covered it up and therefore doesn't deserve to remain, or he is incompetent and doesn't deserve to remain. Fire Warde!https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2026/03/09/sherrone-moore-michigan-assistant-statement-update-charges-plead/89066692007/ "This case is about far more than one terrifying incident," the statement read from Andrew M. Sensationalism…”Sherrone Moore‘s former assistant”. If you’re like me, I thought that meant one of his former assistant football coach.

Likely their own investigation gets used against them.
