Aggies take a hit in some stat categories after Arkansas track meet
Unsurprisingly, Texas A&M’s defensive numbers went in the wrong direction on the national level after giving up 527 yards to Arkansas. They are now 46th in both rushing and passing defense, but still a respectable 37th in total defense. They are sixth nationally in both sacks and tackles for loss, but slipped to second nationally in 3rd down conversion defense after giving up four to Arkansas in 10 tries. All the same, the Aggies have now allowed six third down conversions in 44 attempts in conference play.
After another strong performance from A&M’s offensive line, the Aggies are now first in the nation in tackles for loss allowed and 15th in sacks allowed. A&M is also 17th nationally in total offense, averaging 464 yards a game.
Volleyball brushes aside OU, Arkansas
The No. 10 Texas A&M women’s volleyball team won two conference matches without losing a set this weekend, sweeping both Oklahoma and Arkansas in a pair of matches at Reed Arena.
The Sooners (12-5, 4-3 SEC) were the first to fall to the Aggies (15-3, 7-1 SEC), with A&M taking the match 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-20).
Logan Lednicky and Kyndal Stowers paced the Aggies with 10 kills each, while Maddie Waak racked up 29 assists.
Arkansas came into Sunday’s match with a 5-14 record and a 1-6 SEC mark, and the Aggies didn’t allow them to feel better about themselves in another 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-19) romp.
Lednicky tied her own school record with 22 kills against the Razorbacks, while Waak had 36 assists. Emily Hellmuth had 3 aces.
