The latest Georgia hype trailer is out and it’s previewing the Bulldogs second home game of the season vs. Kent State. This one carries the title, “Mean Machine” and it’s narrated by sophomore inside linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson.

“What’s that coming down the tracks?” Dumas-Johnson says in the 61-second feature. “It’s a mean machine in red and black. It’s a force so strong, so fast, so physical that it can’t be slowed down.”

The video also features candid comments from head strength coach Scott Sinclair as well as highlights from Georgia’s three wins in 2022. Dumas-Johnson is the first non-senior to narrate a hype video this season. The first three were done by Stetson Bennett IV, Christopher Smith, and Kenny McIntosh.

Georgia goes into its week four game in familiar territory. After spending a large portion of the 2021 season as the nation’s No. 1 team, the Bulldogs are once again ranked atop both the coaches’ and AP polls.

Kirby Smart, however, wants his team paying attention to that as little as possible. His hope is that his Georgia team will adhere tightly to its standard of play and take every opponent, especially Kent State since that’s the next game, as seriously as possible.

“Yeah, they’ve got a really good football team,” Smart said on Monday. “They’ve got a quarterback that I didn’t know a lot about who is, No. 1, a tremendous athlete. No. 2, he makes a lot of people miss. He’s dynamic with the ball in his hand. He’s made some wild throws. You’re going to hear about this guy. He’s had some 60, 70-yard passes that are incredible. They have some really good wideouts. They’re a talented team. You go and watch them on defense, they do enough different defensively that it can create issues for you because it’s not what you see every day. It’s a little more new-aged defense, which people are playing to affect teams that are on the perimeter more, second level, fitters able to disguise a little more. I know you guys don’t ever listen to anything we say in here, but this is a really good football team and they have played two really good football teams. And you watch the first half of the Oklahoma game, you have no question how good they are. They, really, played Washington well outside of a couple of drives. Washington scored on them. But outside of that, they went toe to toe with Washington.”

Georgia is the 41-point favorite entering the game with Kent State. The Golden Flashes are no stranger to playing Power Five competition. They have taken on Oklahoma and Washington already in 2022. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET and the game can be streamed on SEC Network+.
