The top offensive prospect left on Georgia’s board for the 2024 cycle is ready to make a decision. Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) running back Nate Frazier will make his college choice known on Sunday, August 6 at 3 p.m. ET. He’ll make the call on the On3Sports Youtube Channel with Josh Newberg. He’ll choose between Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Oregon.

Two of those four schools have gotten official visits with the other set to take place after his commitment. Frazier spent a couple of days at Oregon starting on June 16. He took an official visit to Alabama the next weekend. He’s also visted the Aggies once. According to On3’s National Director of Recruiting, Chad Simmons, Frazier is set to visit Georgia officially on September 16, the same weekend that the Bulldogs will host South Carolina. His high school team, Mater Dei, is off that weekend.

Right around the time Frazier was taking those official visits, he took a multi-day trip to Athens on his own dime. He was in Athens on June 10, an official visit weekend that yielded Georgia a pair of four-star commitments. That was the weekend that the Bulldogs flipped Benjamin School (North Palm Beach, Fla.) running back Chauncey Bowens from Florida and landed Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) defensive tackle Jordan Thomas a couple of days later.

Georgia is the leader for Frazier according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Bulldogs possess 91.8 percent of the feature. Oregon has 2.6 percent while Alabama sits at 2.3 percent. There was talk of Frazier visiting Texas A&M or Auburn this weekend, but those plans do not appear to have materialized at this point.

On3 Scouting on Nate Frazier

At 5-foot-10 210 pounds, Frazier is the nation’s No. 45 overall prospect and No. 2 running back per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes ratings from all four recruiting services. He’s the No. 4 player in California. The On3 in-house rankings, however, view Frazier as a five-star prospect, No. 15 overall, and No. 1 at his position. Those rankings also have him No. 2 in the Golden State.

“Dynamic every down back with projectable size and home run ability. Measured in at 5-foot-10 and around 210 pounds in the summer prior to his senior season. Frazier has some of the best long speed among top running backs in the 2024 cycle, running a wind-legal 10.77 mark in the 100 meters as a junior. Carries that speed over to the field where he displays arguably the best burst among 2024 running back prospects. Explodes through the hole and consistently defeats defenders’ angles as an outside runner. Has the long speed to pull away once in the open field.

“Frazier runs with outstanding pace. Makes defenders miss at a high rate, with lateral agility. Side-steps tacklers in confined spaces. Runs with high-level contact balance. Stays grounded on contact and spins out of tackles. Dangerous in the screen game and has upside as a pass catcher given his showings on the camp circuit. Transferred to powerhouse Mater Dei as a junior and split carries in a talented backfield. Does not have the workload or production of most other top running back prospects, but is highly efficient. Rushed for 693 yards and eight touchdowns on 61 carries (11.4 yards per carry) as a junior. More of a skill set evaluation than a pure high school football resume builder heading into his senior season.”
