Just a few quick hitters and I'll let you get back to America's three-day birthday party.
-- Bruce Pearl made it clear that he wanted a broadcasting job for the 2011-2012 college basketball season. ESPN made it clear that they're not interested. The programming executive for the worldwide leader said Pearl won't be hired at ESPN anytime soon due to his pending NCAA violations. Shucks.
-- The Gainesville-Sun ranked Danny Trevathan as the 19th best player in the SEC. Trevathan led the SEC in tackles last season and he was Kentucky's first linebacker to ever earn All-American honors.
-- Kyrie Irving filed a police report against "Miss Hawaii", the woman who threatened to release a very private video of Irving playing a little one-on-one on Skype. @MissHawaii's Twitter account has been deleted, which destroyed any proof of her re-tweeting me the night before the draft. I still know it happened.
-- Victoria Dunlap made her first start for the Washington Mystics today. Dunlap scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the loss. The WNBA can hear you now!
-- Alabama released 44 secondary rule violations over the past two years to the NCAA. It turns out the program only had 36. That doesn't sound any better.
America turns 235 tomorrow. Celebrate with a Pabst Blue Ribbon. (If you're 21 or older)
