Assault Charge against Dan Berezowitz dismissed

Kentucky Football Chief of Staff Dan Berezowitz was arrested on June 27 and charged with fourth-degree assault stemming from a physical altercation with his wife. According to WDRB’s Jason Riley, court records show the charge was dismissed yesterday. Susan Lax, Director of UK Athletics Communications and Public Relations, told Riley that Berezowitz remains suspended.
Berezowitz is one of Mark Stoops’ original staff members and was promoted to Chief of Staff in 2018. At SEC Media Days last month, Stoops gave an update on Berezowitz’s standing with the program.

“He’s out right now. He’s suspended. It’s a university investigation,” Stoops said on July 20. “You know how serious we take all of those allegations; our university is and we’re in the process of going through that investigation.”
Berezowitz’s arrest was the second for the Kentucky Football program this offseason. Wide receiver coach Jovon Bouknight was arrested in May and charged with a DUI. He served a suspension and returned to work with the Wildcats this summer.
