Buzz Builds for a Barion Brown Commitment

Could Kentucky pick up Top 50 commitments in basketball AND football this weekend? There’s a growing buzz that Reed Sheppard‘s Saturday morning announcement could be complemented by a Big Blue decision from wide receiver Barion Brown.
Brown, a five-star pass-catcher from Nashville’s Pearl-Cohn High School, is ranked by On3 as the No. 14 football player in America. An explosive weapon in space, Liam Coen and Scott Woodward’s overtime on the recruiting trail could soon pay off.
Brown officially visited Kentucky for the victory over Florida. The Wildcats used the opportunity to seize recruiting momentum from Alabama, Ole Miss and TCU, momentum they have not relinquished.
Plans of when and how Brown could announce his college decision are unknown. The last we heard from the electric wide receiver, he teased that a decision could come in “probably two, three weeks.” Today marks three weeks since those comments. Overnight the internet started buzzing around an imminent Brown decision. Is there a coincidence in the timing? I think not.

Of course, nothing could materialize from the internet whispers. It is football recruiting after all. If Brown does decide to end his recruit and commit to Kentucky, he would become the highest-ranked out-of-state skill talent to ever to commit to the Cats. He’s just what the Wildcats need.
KSR will be ready whenever Brown is ready to make his big announcement. Until then, fire up the tape and see just how spectacular Brown is on a football field. You can’t coach the tools he brings to the gridiron.
