The Phoenix Suns are excited about their new sharpshooter out of Kentucky, clearly. The first one worked out pretty well, and now, Devin Booker‘s got a friend in the backcourt who goes by Fuego — and fans have already picked up jerseys to celebrate Koby Brea‘s addition.

In fact, one diehard is recreating Brea’s top moments in Lexington on the basketball court, and the former Wildcat approves.

Rocking Brea’s No. 14 Phoenix jersey, the fan pump faked an imaginary defender, side-stepped behind the back, pump faked again, then drilled the 3-pointer, just like his En Fuego moment against Florida to open SEC play inside Rupp Arena back in January.

Remember this one?

Sometimes you just gotta unleash your inner Fuego.

“koby brea suns jersey got me feeling fuego,” the fan, ohquiinn, shared on TikTok.

Nothing but good vibes supporting the sniper out of Washington Heights, who reposted the video on his own Instagram story.

Brea was selected No. 41 overall in the second round, landing in Phoenix on a two-way contract ahead of his rookie campaign. It didn’t take long for the Suns to rave about their newest addition.

“The one thing is he, obviously, he’s proven during his entire career at Dayton and at Kentucky, how good he is shooting the ball,” Suns general manager Brian Gregory said of the former Wildcat. “But every year he’s gotten better and better and added another dimension to the shooting. Where maybe early it was spot-ups, then it became off some pindowns and stagger screen actions, then it came off of actions off the dribble, then it was a little bit of the NBA, with the side-step threes and the stepback threes.

“So that progression that we were able to evaluate and watch, was a big reason for us taking him. He is an NBA three-point shooter.”

Mark Pope did his part to build the hype in Phoenix, too, telling local media the Suns drafted an absolute shooting star who did things no one else in college basketball did a year ago.

“In terms of shot quality of his shots off the bounce…this is the mean across all college basketball: 0.89 points per possession. Okay? [Brea] shot 1.23 points per shot! That’s plus-0.34! Like, I’ve never seen that in a player off the bounce! And they were big shots. I’m telling you, he’s got incredible skills,” he told PHNX Sports. “For most of us, the most stressful point of the game is when we’re letting the ball go out of our hands. When we shoot it, right? It’s the one part where — it’s one of the less-controllable parts of the game.

“But for Koby, when he is actually engaged in his stroke — I think it’s actually his most peaceful moment on the court.”

Brea averaged 11.6 points per game on 43.6 percent shooting behind the arc in his one-and-done campaign in Lexington, totaling 93 threes with an average of 2.6 per game. Expect more of the same in Phoenix wearing the purple and orange.
