Kentucky Football Instate Stars Hosting Summer Skills Camp

Three stars on Brad’s White’s Kentucky defense got their start playing high school football in the state of Kentucky. This summer they’re going back to their roots to host a youth football skills camp.
J.J. Weaver is joining Jordan Lovett and Octavious Oxendine near their old North Hardin stomping grounds in Radcliff, Kentucky next month. Kids grades 1-12 are invited to join the Kentucky Wildcats at Dewley Park Saturday, July 15 from 9:30 am-1 pm. In addition to the drills and team activities, campers will receive a t-shirt and join the players from an autograph session. It costs $60 and registration is open now.
Unlike some camps hosted at the University of Kentucky, this is all made possible thanks to the relatively new Name, Image and Likeness rules. Parents who send their kids to the skills camp in Radcliff are directly supporting the Wildcats that will make a significant impact on the Kentucky defense this fall.
Jordan Lovett was one of the biggest surprises in 2022. Forced into action following Jalen Geiger‘s season-ending injury at Florida, Lovett started in the final 11 games. He finished second on the team in tackles with 62 and had a pair of interceptions, picking up Honorable Mention Freshman All-American honors from College Football News.

The Big Ox had a similar breakout season during his second year on campus, until a knee injury took him out for the rest of the 2021 season. Recovery slowed him down the following year, but he’s still got 37 tackles, 4.0 for loss and 2.0 sacks at Kentucky.
JJ Weaver, who played high school football at Louisville Moore, is returning for one more season with NFL Draft aspirations. The talented edge rusher was named 2021 Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year. He has 24 career tackles for loss, ranked just outside of the top ten in school history, 10.0 sacks and two interceptions.
Let your kids learn from these great Kentucky Wildcats next month in Radcliff.
