Kentucky now has official date for 2022 spring game

Thanks to COVID-19, Kentucky saw its spring game canceled in 2020. In 2021, Kentucky also decided to not have a spring game as the program and university were both still dealing with the effects of the pandemic as Kroger Field served as a test site.
Luckily, the spring game is making a return next month, and the University of Kentucky released the official date on Tuesday. Clear your calendars for the weekend after the Final Four.
The game will take place the same weekend as The Masters, and tailgating will have to begin early with an afternoon kickoff when Mark Stoops and his 10th team hit the turf at Kroger Field on Saturday, April 9. If unable to make the trek to the stadium, the game will be telecasted on SEC+. If you want to watch the game broadcast in the friendly confines of your living room, an ESPN+ account will be needed.
After a few years spent on Friday night, the spring game is making its return to Saturday for the first time since 2016. That is also the same weekend as the opening of the spring meet out at Keeneland so prepare for some heavy traffic in Lexington.

Kentucky in New Orleans the first weekend of April followed by Masters week, Keeneland, and the Kentucky spring game? That sounds like a slam dunk to kick off the fourth month of the calendar.
