New NBA Draft Big Board has two Kentucky players in draft range
We’re just under three weeks away from the 2025 NBA Draft. Will Mark Pope see one of his former players selected for the first time as a head coach? It’s trending that way…
On Wednesday, the talented team over at No Ceilings dropped an updated Big Board of this year’s 60 best draftable prospects. A pair of former Kentucky Wildcats were spotted as potential second-round picks. Guard Koby Brea checks in at No. 36 while center Amari Williams just made the cut at No. 59. Keep in mind that there are only 59 picks in this year’s draft.
Brea has long been considered a potential second-round pickup, but Williams’ name is one that is only recently beginning to pop up on Big Boards and Mock Drafts.
The majority of notable NBA mock drafts believe Brea, who averaged 11.6 points per game on 43.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc in his lone season at Kentucky, will find his way into the second round. Here is where updated mocks have him landing:

As for Williams, he’s benefiting from the dozens of prospects who recently pulled their name out of the draft pool to return to college. With the number of potential second-round picks essentially cut in half, it’s opened up room for Williams to shoot up the board. In Bleacher Report’s latest mock, the seven-footer is projected to land with the New York Knicks as the 50th overall selection.
There’s a world where Pope has not one, but two of his players drafted. The 2025 NBA Draft is set for June 25-26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
