Kentucky wide receiver JJ Hester reaches for the pylon to score a touchdown vs. Florida - Dr. Michael Huang, Kentucky Sports Radio/On3

It’s Senior Day at Kroger Field. At approximately 1 PM ET, Kentucky will honor 25 seniors for their contributions to the football program. Before the emotional farewell, let’s shine the spotlight on a few of their contributions as they try to get the Wildcats one step closer to a bowl berth.

3 — Receiving touchdowns by wide receiver JJ Hester in only five receptions. That’s a pretty great hit rate. He had two against Tennessee and stretched out to the pylon for a score against Florida.

6 — Tackles for loss this fall by Alex Afari, the most on the team. The former defensive back is second on the team with 50 tackles. He’s also tallied 2.5 sacks and 9 QB pressures.

7 — Career touchdowns by Josh Kattus, the most by a Kentucky tight end since CJ Conrad. That includes a rushing touchdown. He recovered a fumble for the go-ahead score in a 2024 upset of Top 10 Ole Miss.

9 — Career interceptions for Kentucky safety Jordan Lovett, which is just outside of the Top 7 in school history. He’s the first Mark Stoops defensive back to have four multi-interception seasons.

9 — Rushing touchdowns this fall by Seth McGowan, the third-most in the SEC. He also ranks sixth in rushing yards per game at 77.6 yards per contest. He’s 379 yards away from eclipsing the 1,000-yard milestone.

10.9 — Average yards after catch for Kendrick Law. The Alabama transfer has 36 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns this season.

13 — Tackles for Daveren Rayner, a sack, an interception, and a pass deflection over the last two games. He has the third-highest run defense grade for the Wildcats this fall.

19 — Pressures by Kahlil Saunders, the most on the team. The defensive lineman has a career-high 27 tackles, 3.0 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks this season.

52.8 — Percent of Aidan Laros‘ punts have been downed inside of the 20-yard line (19/36). He’s averaging 44.5 yards per punt, with a long of 57 yards this fall.

83.3Jager Burton‘s pass-blocking grade is the highest on the team, according to PFF. There were concerns about his move back to center from guard, but he has been exceptional. There have been zero snapping issues, and he’s allowed only 6 pressures, the fewest on the Kentucky offensive line.
