WATCH: Mark Stoops, Brad White mic'd up at Spring Practice

The Kentucky football program is wrapping up spring practice, starting March 6 and wrapping up April 8. Fans were treated to an open practice with a live scrimmage this past weekend, replacing the annual spring game as new turf is installed at Kroger Field.
There has been both good and bad on both sides of the ball across the month of practices, headlined by the unofficial debut of quarterback Devin Leary, the return of Barion Brown and Dane Key, the rebuilding of the Big Blue Wall and the defense passing the eye test, specifically on the line and in the secondary.
Mark Stoops has had his own ups and downs with practice, raving about his 2023 group at times while also fuming — “I’m a little pissed off today,” he said a little over a week ago. “I don’t have a lot to say today. I’m a little frustrated, a little disappointed, a little pissed to be totally honest with you. It’s been lackluster the past couple of days.”
He called some of his players “entitled” and said they “don’t work extremely hard.” Not a happy camper.
But his spirits were up a bit this week, looking to close out spring with a bang. And he was mic’d up in practice for part of it.

“We’ve got to have a great week,” Stoops told his team in the segment. “Submit this week, you got me? Let’s take a big jump.”
The Kentucky head coach made jokes and challenged his team to move forward, “no wind today, no excuses” — that’s what held the Wildcats back on Saturday during the open practice.
Take a look at the mic’d up segment with the head man himself:
Defensive coordinator Brad White also participated in his own mic’d up segment, pushing his Wildcats to get better and making his own mini appearance at quarterback (kind of).
