WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
There was your football news from Miami’s final spring practice before a week off for spring break, including videos of the day’s work, news and notes from the practice field and post-practice interviews. So you don’t want to miss that as well as Gary Ferman answering all your questions coming off Week 1.
The basketball team also had its regular season finale at Florida State, and we had you covered with that loss and the team’s ACC tourney bracket. Plus the baseball team had a big series with exciting wins against Virginia and you can check out our stories on those games as well.
In recruiting?
Plenty more news for you.
Including several visitors. The nation’s No. 1 TE in the 2025 class, Folkston (Ga.) Camden County four-star tight end Elyiss Williams, was on campus in Miami so you don’t want to miss what he’s sayin. Loganville (Ga.) Grayson 2025 three-star cornerback Jaylen Bell made his way to Miami for his second unofficial visit with the Hurricanes. Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna four-star cornerback Chris Ewald Jr. has been one of the most sought-after defensive backs in the country, and Friday the top-150 defender was in Miami andshared his thoughts. Plus Savannah Christian Prep (Ga.) five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin made his way down to Coral Gables and we caught up with him.
Other updates?
We catch up with Columbus (Ohio) Bishop Ready running back Kentrell Rinehart. He got an offer from Matt Merritt and will be on campus March 29.
Another update is with Miami (Fla.) Norland 2025 EDGE twin brothers Darryll Desir and Mandrell Desir. They will be on the road as they set off for a handful of unofficial visits this spring, with one of those stops being in Coral Gables with the Miami Hurricanes.
Pembroke Pines (Fla.) West Broward 2025 receiver Joshua Moore also breaks down where things stand with him and the Canes.
A commit Miami is trying to flip? That’s Cocoa (Fla.) four-star receiver Jayvan Boggs, who is an Ohio State pledge. Find out how that attempt is going.
Miami (Fla.) Carol City 2026 LB Jordan Campbell also updates his commitment status with Miami.
Another area target is 2026 Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna four-star receiver Denairius Gray. The Canes are working to sway him from his Auburn commitment, so get an update on how that’s going.
Plus Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School 2026 linebacker Adam Balogoun-Ali may not be ranked yet by any of the four major recruiting databases, but he has already picked up his share of interest from a few major programs — including Miami. Get his thoughts.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
My favorite freshman … Posted by cortez55403
Elijah Lofton. 6’2”, 250 lb TE/HBack. A scoring machine at Bishop Gorman. Skills?
*tough and physical. Willing and effective blocker
*surprisingly fast for his size
*excellent receiver
*terrific yards after catch. Think Deebo Samuel.
*explosive rushing threat. Scored multiple rushing TDs for Gorman
*mature and disciplined. Ready to compete.
I’m praying that Coach Dawson integrates him into our offensive game plans. His combination of skills is unique.
