WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We have a very interesting column looking at five powerful quotes from the first week of spring practice … and analyzing what they really are saying.
Then we have more recruiting news for you this morning as well.
We catch up with Louisville (Ky.) Male interior offensive lineman Isaac Sowells Jr., who was back in Miami for a visit with the Hurricanes last week. The Canes are continuing to impress the standout center prospect.
Find out what Toms River (N.J.) Toms River North four-star 2025 offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews is saying as well with Miami trying to land the former Penn State commitment.
Plus Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2026 defensive lineman Preston Carey raves about his time in Coral Gables after watching practice and spending time with the Canes coaching staff. So where does UM stand with him now?
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
On whether Miami is elite yet … Posted by KC3
We are not an elite team yet. There is a world where we go 12-0 and we still aren’t elite. Georgia is elite. Ohio state is elite. Elite to me means national championship contender and we are not there. We would be double digit underdogs against both of those teams.
Put the kool aid down man. Let’s get through spring and see how guys continue to develop before we crown them. We’ve underachieved every year under Mario. It’s a new year and we’re all excited but RELAX.
