Recruitment

Stewart was considered a Michigan lean for the majority of the recruiting cycle. He made things official and committed to the Wolverines in June. Stewart picked U-M over offers from Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, Wisconsin and others. Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy served as his primary recruiter. U-M offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore served as his secondary recruiter.

He Said It

“What stood out the most was the consistent communication that I had with the staff. That even was with my family. They made sure we felt I was a priority for their program and would fit into their culture. Besides them making sure I could see myself fitting into their offense, academically having a degree from The Big House is definitely the move. I felt having a degree from Michigan would solidify my future beyond the sport. Every visit with Coach Bellamy and the staff just felt real, and the OV with the team, some commits and hopefully some soon to be commits was a real authentic vibe.”

They Said It

“He’s a game changer. He has big play ability. He’s a very versatile athlete. This year, for Kenwood, he’ll be playing on both sides of the ball. People don’t know how dynamic of a defensive back he is as well. The attention to detail in his craft and how hard he works. He makes it a lot easier for my offensive coordinator. Defenses are going to have to play us honestly. He has as much of a presence as Malik Elzy had for Simeon. He’s going to command a lot of attention from opposing teams.” — Kenwood head coach Sinque Turner

Scouting Report

“I saw I’Marion at OT7 Finals so I got a pretty good look at him up close. He’s a shifty and crafty receiver who is effective at working the short to intermediate parts of the field. He can get open in the red zone and is probably more of a possession receiver than a big play threat. But he’s very reliable and understands how to impact defenses underneath.” — On3 Rankings Director Charles Power
