COLUMBUS — Ohio State undoubtedly is setting a program record for the number of visitors in one weekend in the Ryan Day era.

No. 2 Ohio State hosts No. 5 Notre Dame in a primetime game inside Ohio Stadium with plenty of questions ready to be answered and new storylines ready to be written.

With that comes a crucial emphasis on recruiting. The Buckeyes will host anywhere from 50-75 prospects Saturday. It features a good mix of 2023, 2024 and 2025 prospects. Nearly the entire Ohio State 2023 class will be in Columbus too.

2024 five-star quarterback commit Dylan Raiola and 2025 four-star cornerback commit Jontae Gilbert will also be in Ohio Stadium this weekend.

It’s beneficial that plenty of the Buckeyes’ commits will be in town for the game Saturday. There will be plenty of opportunities for committed players to answer questions and build relationships with uncommitted prospects.

Specifically, four-star offensive lineman Luke Montgomery and five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss will be in Columbus. Those two are this cycle’s ‘captains’ if you can coin the phrase for recruiting. And they are going to be called upon with some big recruitments.

Five-star EDGE Keon Keeley, five-star EDGE Damon Wilson and five-star defensive lineman Matayo Uiagalelei all will be on campus. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Buckeyes only lead in Uiagalelei’s recruitment.

Anytime highly-rated uncommitted prospects make the trip, the salesmanship from committed players shines. Expect that to be the case this weekend with Keeley, Wilson and Uiagalelei.
