Crimson Countdown: No. 64 Sean Hutton

The Crimson Countdown is officially on for the 2025 Oklahoma football season. Everybody wants to forget about 2024 and move forward.
Head coach Brent Venables and staff have attempted to do that. New face calling the offense (Ben Arbuckle). Venables calling the defense, it’s now or never for this regime at OU in the SEC. No beating around the bush.
Every day as we get closer to kickoff, SoonerScoop.com will count down the days with you. Starting with No. 99 and working our way to No. 0, we’ll be there every step of the way.
Crimson Countdown: No. 64 Sean Hutton
2024 stats: N/A
2025 outlook:
OK, Hutton wasn’t just an add-on with Michael Fasusi. But let’s pump the brakes on asking Hutton to be anything more than a depth piece this season.

You could see Hutton taking the coaching from Troy Everett in a positive way during the spring. He understands it’s going to be a process. Hutton isn’t expecting to walk into Norman and have everything figured out.
However, the tools are there. Both physically and mentally. It will be about the work that he puts in. There are a lot of good guys around him that should make Hutton better this season and beyond.
A year of learning, though, is definitely on the way.
2025 interior offensive linemen outlook
This is one of the positions on the roster that seems to have plenty of bodies and talent but what remains is a lot of interest over who will be in the rotation. At right guard and center the Sooners return maybe the line’s two most clear starters in Febechi Nwaiwu and Troy Everett, respectively. However, there is competition chasing both including transfer Jake Maikkula and incoming standout freshman Ryan Fodje. On the left side Heath Ozaeta missed spring practice while recovering from a shoulder injury. The name to keep an eye on as a big riser is redshirt freshman Eddy Pierre-Louis.
