QUACK: Ducks Land JUCO DB Commit

One of the wilder recruitments has come to a close Sunday evening. And it ultimately ended up as good news for the Oregon Ducks.
College of San Mateo (Calif.) cornerback Sione Laulea committed to Oregon moments ago. The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder chose Oregon over USC and Miami in his final three. Leading up to his decision there was a lot of scuttle regarding Penn State in the final 72 hours. However it was Oregon that was able to secure his commitment.
Laulea is the No. 2 ranked junior college player in the On3 Rankings. He is the top ranked JUCO cornerback and top JUCO in the state of California.
The Ducks are really cleaning up in the secondary this cycle. Laulea joins Dakoda Fields and Ify Obidwegu as corner commits in the 2024 class for Oregon.

***ScoopDuck Eval: Sione Laulea***
Laulea is expected to be a winter enrollee. He will have two years of eligibility at Oregon.
Oregon now has 23 verbal commits in the 2024 class. That class currently ranks No. 13 overall and No. 3 in the Big-Ten conference.
Laulea was listed in my recent āFinish Lineā update, which predicted the rest of this 2024 recruiting class for the Ducks. Be sure to check out who else was included in that update.
