Ryan Browne set to start at quarterback for Purdue

Now we know: Ryan Browne will start at quarterback for Purdue today vs. Rutgers after not being listed as “out” or “questionable” on the Big Ten availability report.
Browne sustained a left (non-throwing) shoulder injury early in the second half last week at Northwestern and left the game. Malachi Singleton finished the contest, a 19-0 loss to the Wildcats.
Browne’s status all week had been murky, though he did participate in practice on Monday. Had Singleton gotten the nod, it would have been his first career start.
