In this episode, Joe and Justin discuss:

  1. Joe and Justin start with Texas signees at the high school all-star games this week. They look over the burnt orange contingent in Orlando at the Under Armour game, with Cedric Baxter, Sydir Mitchell, Johntay Cook, Malik Muhammad, and Derek Williams. All played in the same squad, captained by Baxter, who scored the first touchdown in Tuesday’s game. Cook was fantastic during the practice portions last week and stood out among the top prospects at the event. Muhammad had a good week as well, and Williams capped off the game with an interception late in the contest. They also touch on On3 five-star tight end Duce Robinson and the Horns final chances at snagging the nation’s top rated TE.
  2. Joe and Justin discuss the All-American Bowl in San Antonio this week, with practice news and notes from the Alamo City. With Anthony Hill Jr, Tausili Akana, Ryan Niblett, and Payton Kirkland in attendance, the Horns are well represented in San Antonio. They talk about Hill making a strong impression on the coaches and staff, Akana playing some outside linebacker, Niblett looking solid in the slot, and Kirkland holding down right guard (he’s a tackle in college).
  3. Joe and Justin finish it with two big announcements on Saturday. Waco (Texas) Connally LB/ATH Jelani McDonald and 2024 Bellflower (Calif.) St John Bosco safety Peyton Woodyard will be announcing where they’ll play in college during the All-American Bowl on NBC. McDonald has been tremendous in workouts, playing cornerback at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds. McDonald is down to Texas, TCU, and Oklahoma State. Woodyard dropped his top seven schools last month, and despite UT not making the cut, the Horns might have a stronger chance than most expect for the On3 No. 2 safety in the nation for 2024.
