Playoff committee chair Boo Corrigan said the committee wanted to see a little bit more from the USC defense following the Trojans’ 48-45 win against UCLA. This game against Notre Dame will serve as a good test for the Trojans on that side of the ball. The Irish are tough and will throw multiple tight ends and big backs on the field. If USC’s defense can hold up, the offense should be able to put on another show.
