Colin Damms
Colin is a Starkville native who grew up spending his fall Saturdays at Davis Wade Stadium with his father. He first ventured into sportswriting as he attended college. He graduated from the Mississippi University for Women with his bachelor's degree and later from Southern Miss with a master's degree in history before pivoting to sportswriting professionally. In 2021, he joined the Commercial Dispatch part-time, covering high school sports and taking on the women's basketball beat for the 2021-22 season. He continued with the Dispatch, joining the staff full-time, covering the high school beat in the Golden Triangle and assisting with coverage of MSU sports, before he became the publication's MSU sports reporter in 2025.
