We have to keep Pope after this season. The AD has to go first so we can maybe get a real AD to do what is necessary and close on a real coach. Unfortunately we will probably get stuck with the JMI wife

I mean I appreciate the optimism but what could he have possibly done that makes you think he is gonna win here? He’s not winning, he’s not recruiting, the press conferences are painful to listen to. He is clearly way in over his head here.

What could he have done to make me think he can win here? The fact that he has literally won here lol. He had a ton of big time wins last year that nobody gives him credit for. I believe it because he’s literally done it lol.

You’re judging me before knowing any of my thoughts or opinions, but that’s okay because it’s just your ignorance showing. I think Pope has done a lot of things wrong and this year is a disaster thus far. But Pope has shown great coaching abilities, particularly on the offensive end, and his players clearly love playing for him. He has a long way to go with recruiting, but all of that stuff is fixable. Despite this year being terrible he made a ton of changes in philosophy to try to go from good team that makes the sweet 16 to no questions championship contender. Unfortunately those changes didn’t pay off, but it shows that he’s clearly willing to change and I think that shows that he will do whatever it takes to improve in strategy, recruiting, and all the things it takes to be a winning coach. This year is unacceptable thus far, but unlike many I am not a prisoner of the moment and can evaluate his coaching as a whole and honestly believe that he has the chops to be a final four caliber coach at Kentucky. But yeah how about you tell me more about what I believe.

What a stupid answer lol winning at Kentucky doesn’t mean winning some regular season games and making it to a sweet 16. I hope he turns it around and makes it work, but he hasn’t done anything yet to make it seem like that is going to happen.

He literally won the most top 15 games in UK history. You asked why I think he can win and it’s because he literally has lol. There is no more perfect answer to that question. Now I do concede that he has lost more games than is acceptable and lost some of them bad, but as I’ve said before I would rather have a coach that wins big and loses big than one who sits comfortably in the middle without ever showing they are capable of winning big games. I think it’s easier to clean up the losses than it is to learn how to win big games. But for future information only fools use insults to try to win arguments. Consider polite discussion next time and you may learn something.
