ESPN’s Jordan Reid released an updated two-round NFL Mock Draft following the 2024 Scouting Combine last week.

There are some of the same picks, make no mistake. However, Reid projects quite the trade early in the first round which should make for some fun discussion.

Let’s dive into Reid’s two round mock draft for ESPN with the combine in the books.

1. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams, QB – USC

This has been the general consensus for a lot of mock drafts and nothing changes here. Williams is the top quarterback in the draft and a chance for the Bears to hit the reset button.

With this selection, gone is former first round pick Justin Fields and in comes Williams. It’s hard to envision a scenario where this doesn’t happen at this point. Reid’s had this one since his mocks became official for the 2024 draft.

2. Washington Commanders: Drake Maye, QB – North Carolina

Reid likes Maye over Daniels in this spot and here is your new franchise quarterback in Washington D.C. Move over Sam Howell, there’s a new UNC stud in town.

Maye has prototypical size, can make all the throws and is pretty mobile for his style as well. At this point, it might be a toss up between him and Jayden Daniels, but Maye goes No. 2.

3. New England Patriots: Jayden Daniels, QB – LSU

Now the Patriots get their new franchise quarterback in Daniels. The Heisman Trophy winner went off passing and throwing last year.

That’ll be quite the change from what the Patriots have had for two decades, mostly with Tom Brady. But Daniels could certainly bring the buzz and excitement back to New England.

4. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR – Ohio State

Harrison Jr. is by far the best wide receiver in this class. If the Cardinals stick with Kyler Murray, which according to their Twitter account they will, and don’t attempt to get one of the top QBs in this draft, Harrison Jr. is an obvious pick.

You have to give Murray a legitimate No. 1 pass catcher. Harrison Jr. could turn into one of the best playmakers in the league right away. He’s not just a name, go watch his tape.

5. Chicago Bears: Malik Nabers, WR – LSU (Trade with LAC)

A trade! Reid projects that the Bears will move into the top five with the second pick, coming from No. 9, for a pair of third rounders.

With this pick, the Bears get their franchise wide receiver. Nabers is rising up draft boards and might not make it out of the top five at this point.

6. New York Giants: Rome Odunze, WR – Washington

Speaking of wide receivers, Odunze is the next man up and the Giants got him. Regardless of who’s under center for the Giants next year, they need a top-end wide receiver.

Odunze could start right away and make an impact. He aided Michael Penix Jr. to new heights with the Huskies and can run every single route. It’s tough to say no to back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons including 1,640 last year with 13 touchdowns.

7. Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt, OT – Notre Dame

So here’s where Alt ends up within the first round of the NFL Draft. He’s been a popular selection around this section anyway.

He’s the first offensive tackle off the board and the Titans get a good one. Whoever is taking snaps behind center next season, Alt should be able to protect him as a day one starter.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, EDGE – Alabama

Dallas Turner was a menace for the Crimson Tide over the course of his college career. He seemingly just fits Atlanta right? He logged 10 sacks last year and 22.5 for his career and put up 32.5 tackles for loss.

Raheem Morris might hit a home run with this type of pick in the 2024 draft. Reid seems to think so as well. The Falcons could get an instant pass-rushing starter here.

9. Los Angeles Chargers: Brock Bowers, TE – Georgia

Bowers to the Chargers has been a popular pick in mocks, but Reid projects this one to happen at No. 9 following his hypothetical trade. Jim Harbaugh gets an instant elite tight end for Justin Herbert.

That’s almost unfair right? We kid of course. But don’t be surprised to see Bowers an instant stat machine in Harbaugh’s offense.

10. New York Jets: Olu Fashanu, OT – Penn State

The Jets need some protection for Aaron Rodgers. Keeping him upright is paramount for the 2024 season, which could very well be his last at this point.

Fashanu is one of the best tackle prospects in the draft and he’ll be the second one off the board in the top 10. It’s hard to miss Alt, but Fashanu is a great second selection.

Rest of First Round: No. 11 through 32

11. Minnesota Vikings: JJ McCarthy, QB – Michigan
12. Denver Broncos: Jared Verse, EDGE – Florida State
13. Las Vegas Raiders: Byron Murphy II, DT – Texas
14. New Orleans Saints: Taliese Fuaga, OT – Oregon State
15. Indianapolis Colts: Terrion Arnold, CB – Alabama
16. Seattle Seahawks: Darius Robinson, DL – Missouri
17. Jacksonville Jaguars: Quinyon Mitchell, CB – Toledo
18. Cincinnati Bengals: JC Latham, OT – Alabama
19. Los Angeles Rams: Nate Wiggins, CB – Clemson
20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Amarius Mims, OT – Georgia
21. Miami Dolphins: Jackson Powers-Johnson, OL – Oregon
22. Philadelphia Eagles: Tyler Guyton, OT – Oklahoma
23. Houston Texans: Laiatu Latu, EDGE – UCLA
24. Dallas Cowboys: Troy Fautanu, OT – Washington
25. Green Bay Packers: Cooper DeJean, CB – Iowa
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Chop Robinson, EDGE – Penn State
27. Arizona Cardinals: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB – Alabama

29. Detroit Lions: Jer’Zhan Newton, DT – Illinois
30. Baltimore Ravens: Brian Thomas Jr., WR – LSU
31. San Francisco 49ers: Ennis Rakestraw Jr., CB – Missouri
32. Kansas City Chiefs: Xavier Worthy, WR – Texas

There are some intriguing picks in the second round, especially right off the bat for the Carolina Panthers. They pretty much need everything going into the 2024 season.

33. Carolina Panthers: Keon Coleman, WR – Florida State
34. New England Patriots: Jordan Morgan, OT – Arizona
35. Arizona Cardinals: Kingsley Suamatai, OT – BYU
36. Washington Commanders: Graham Barton, OL – Duke
37. Los Angeles Chargers: Kamari Lassiter, CB – Georgia
38. Tennessee Titans: Ladd McConkey, WR – Georgia
39. New York Giants: Bo Nix, QB – Oregon
40. Washington Commanders: Adisa Isaac, EDGE – Penn State
41. Green Bay Packers: Edgerrin Cooper, LB – Texas A&M
42. Minnesota Vikings: Kris Jenkins, DT – Michigan
43. Atlanta Falcons: Xavier Legette, WR – South Carolina
44. Las Vegas Raiders: Michael Penix Jr., QB – Washington
45. New Orleans Saints: Chris Braswell, EDGE – Alabama
46. Indianapolis Colts: Roman Wilson, WR – Michigan
47. New York Giants: Braden Fiske, DT – Florida State

53. Philadelphia Eagles: Tyler Nubin, S – Minnesota
54. Cleveland Browns: Malachi Corley, WR – Western Kentucky
55. Miami Dolphins: Ja’Tavion Sanders, TE – Texas
56. Dallas Cowboys: Trey Benson, RB – Florida State
57. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Troy Franklin, WR – Oregon
58. Green Bay Packers: Jonathan Brooks, RB – Texas
59. Houston Texans: TJ Tampa, CB – Iowa State
60. Buffalo Bills: T’Vondre Sweat, DT – Texas
61. Detroit Lions: Cam Hart, CB – Notre Dame
62. Baltimore Ravens: Cooper Beebe, G – Kansas State
63. San Francisco 49ers: Patrick Paul, OT – Houston
64. Kansas City Chiefs: Michael Hall Jr., DT – Ohio State

Two rounds in the books and boy, there are so many more prospects of high quality on the board! We’re just a little more than a month away from the 2024 NFL Draft.
